03 / IN DEPTH
Numerologists rarely work with a single number. A useful reading compares the birth-date pattern, the name and the numbers a client lives with every day.
The Lo Shu grid is a 3×3 square, traditionally arranged so that every row, column and diagonal adds up to 15. In numerology, the digits of the date of birth are placed in the grid to show which numbers are present, repeated or missing, and the planes they form.
JyotishGrid draws the Lo Shu grid and the Vedic numerology chart from the date of birth, then lets you move through yearly, monthly and daily charts. You can also try it with the free Lo Shu grid calculator.
Name numerology converts letters into numbers. The Chaldean system uses values 1 to 8 based on sound, while the Pythagorean system assigns 1 to 9 in alphabetical order. The two systems can give different totals for the same name, which is why practitioners like to compare them.
JyotishGrid shows how each part of a name contributes to the total, so you can compare spelling options for a person, a child or a business rather than reading only the final number.
Number numerology studies the numbers a client uses daily. Phone, vehicle, house and custom number types are analysed with the client’s chart and destiny number in view, and you can save options with remarks.
For families planning a birth date, the Designer Baby tool compares a date range with the destiny numbers you choose and lists matching dates with their charts, so you can discuss the options with the parents.
